DONATION ITEMS WISH LIST
While Veterans Inc. appreciates all items donated to us, there are particular items that are always in high demand for our veterans and their families. Please see the following Wish List of the most needed donation items.
Please note that Veterans Inc. cannot accept any items containing alcohol (including certain types of mouthwash, denture adhesive, and aftershave), and we are also unable to accept furniture donations at this time.
ITEMS WE ACCEPT:
- New or gently used clothing
- Used clothing must be:
- In good condition
- Freshly laundered or professionally dry-cleaned
- No more than five years old
- Without defects or stains
- Used clothing must be:
- Non-perishable food items:
- Shelf-stable items (i.e., dry goods)
- Canned goods
- Gift cards, event tickets, gym memberships
- Any items comparable to those listed on our Amazon Wish List
- Feminine hygiene products (i.e., tampons, pregnancy tests)
- Bed and bath (i.e., new pillows, new bedsheets, new blankets, new bath towels, new hand towels, new washcloths, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, disposable razors, body powder)
ITEMS WE DO NOT ACCEPT:
- Clothing that does not adhere to the standards noted above
- Any used undergarments
- Furniture or household goods
- Medical equipment
- Prepared foods such as excess catering or homemade meals
YOUR DONATED ITEMS HELP US:
- Run our food and clothing pantry every first and third Thursday of the month
- Keep our emergency shelters and transitional housing stocked with bed, bath, and personal hygiene materials
- Provide veterans in our Employment & Training program with clothes for job interviews
